Creative Commons

How do we ethically use someone else’s material without being accused of stealing it?  Where is that “fine line” and when do we cross it?  If we share our work, does that mean relinquish all control of it?  Can someone take our work, our writing, our pictures, our video, and claim it or change it without consulting or crediting us?  Must we acknowledge someone whose work is on a public site? What about secondary sources?  So many questions about this new open environment and atmosphere of sharing on the Web.  So much yet to learn!  Creative Commons helps us get it all right.
